  1. My husband and I attended the 11 AM Latin Mass last Sunday, 9/3/17. Fr. Cusick welcomed all guests and invited all to coffee and lunch after mass. The mass was very reverent and allowed for a deep prayerful experience. The altar servers seemed very well trained and I thought to myself that vocations might gush out of this small parish!
Fr. Kusick, sitting outside on some nearby steps, called to my husband and myself as we were leaving. He welcomed us and asked where we were from. He chatted a bit and was very personable and warm. We gave our regrets, but as we walked away, I noticed 6-8 small children surrounding the Father. I thought how we all must be like “small children”.
the parish is very community oriented and welcoming.
I will return and am thankful for the Mass. Thank you Father Kusick!

  2. I have twice tried to send you a Thank you for last Sunday mass at 11. Thank you for your hospitality, your warm welcome anD gift of a Beautiful mass. I hope my message sends this time! I will be back!

  3. Oh my goodness; I am so excited that this Church offers a Latin Mass! I have never attended one, but this is in my bucket list, so you will be seeing my husband and I soon.

  4. Hello Fr. Cusick,
I always read your column in The Wanderer because I think you and Rey Flores are their best writers :^) and I appreciate your love of tradition. “We need a saving and eternal word” as you said on Dec. 21! Thanks for standing up for Him! One note: you mention the “wonderful … achievements of organ … transplants”. I believe the USCCB is O.K. with these, but have you read what is on Judie Brown’s ALL.org web site? That the heart must be pumping in order to “harvest” organs gives me pause, as does the fact that the human body is not to be mutilated (e.g., kidney donation from a healthy donor?). Has the soul necessarily left the body when the organs are extracted from a seemingly dead person? “When in doubt, don’t” seems applicable to me here. At any rate, many thanks for all the good you are doing!

  5. Dear Father Kevin M. Cusick ,

While I am not in your parish, I read about your work from a link.
Currently, there are a few bishops who have openly welcomed Fr. James Martin,SJ to speak and be present at several events. There is serious doubts amongst several of the laity that Fr. Martin is willfully teaching material contrary to Catholic Doctrine and preying on those who either don’t know better or don’t care. What can the US laity do to combat the heresies spread by this priest when certain bishops are seeming to embrace lthis sodomite error?

    1. Educate and evangelize where we are those with whom we come into contact. Fight lies wth truth. Do all in in the charity by which we seek to save souls.

  6. I attended the Latin Mass at Saint Francis de Sales on Sunday within the Octave of Christmas and on the Feast of the Circumcision. I was very blessed by the beautiful liturgy and by the dynamic preaching of Father Cusick. The interior of the church is likewise so very beautiful and adorned with love of Christ. Last, but not least, a very kind parishioner invited me to lunch after Mass and I got to meet several other friendly parishioners, along with Father Cusick. I hope to visit your wonderful parish again, the next time I travel north from SW Florida. Thank you for your hospitality; Christmastide Blessings!

  7. I visited St. Francis de Sales and fell in love. I am new to the Traditional Latin Mass and want to continue learning and attending, I am saddened with the attack on the Latin Mass. I heard Bishop Gergory is considering getting rid of it. I live in Mechanicsville and am debating on making the move to your church, but am on the fence because of the possibilities. What will Father do?

  8. What is going to happen to the TLM now that Wilton Gregory has banned it? What is going to happen at St. Francis?

    1. TLM Mass now available locally most Sundays (except Christmas, Easter & Pentecost), 12 noon, at nearby at Saint Dominic’s in Aquasco.
